Peter Freebody

Brief

Build the website for this traditional boat building company, the site should include a brokerage section where the client can maintain a sales gallery and point of customer contact.

Website build

Peter Freebody & Co are the most prolific builders and restorers of the greatest variety of river and lake craft in timber in the UK, established at Hurley since 1933. With such a great back story the site had to deliver and encompass all of this.

With an aim to create maximum interest and impact throughout the site, large, high quality imagery has been used, combined with video and key pieces of content to bring the history and splendour of the river craft to life.

The site makes use of HTML5 and CSS3 techniques and is built on an optimsed responsive template. The site makes multiple use of jQuery, used for overlay galleries, video layers and contact forms.

A custom built CMS, programmed with PHP/MySQL allows Peter Freebody & Co to have complete control over the site. Each element of the craft detail page includes the full craft specification, image gallery and video link, all managed through the CMS.
